friend-image-01Have you got skills that you could offer?

Would you like to learn new skills?

The Moor Pond Woods project relies on volunteers …..

If you would like to support the project, and help us to continue our work, you could :

Join the ‘Friends of Moor Pond Woods’ to keep up to date. The ‘Friends’ meet on the final Wednesday of the month at 19:30, at the Village Hall in Papplewick. Anybody who supports the aims of the ‘Friends’ is welcome to attend. Working days are held when required.

Help with historical research. We need to try to find additional information from the Local Studies Library and Nottinghamshire Archives. We can train you to search the records.

Help with day-to-day maintenance – litter-picking, pruning overhanging vegetation and other ‘light jobs.

Interested in archaeological exploration – Could you help with digging, clearing, recording?

Surveying – have you got access to survey equipment? We have a number of sites which are not fully mapped.

Fund-raising – do you have good ideas and/or organising talent?

Construction, fencing and general labouring. Tools and training provided.

Observations and photography, help us to keep our wildlife records up to date.

See the events page of the Parish website for detail about our programme of meetings, visits and social events.
