Volunteers

We  organise small groups to undertake maintenance tasks. We have adopted methods of working to reflect the Covid-19 restrictions. We are carrying out a more extensive programme of works on some Sundays and some mid-week days. The next planned volunteer sessions are on Wednesday 19th April and Wednesday 3rd May. Get in touch if you are interested in joining us, and/or would like to receive details of future dates and tasks. We will then contact you to confirm the arrangements as each opportunity arises.

You can find out more about our volunteer programme by watching our introductory video. All are welcome. Tools and instruction are provided. Contact mpw@papplewick.org or phone Lee Scudder on 07753 850758 to find out the latest situation.   Bad weather – check in to see if the work is going ahead.

Covid-19: Don’t come out if you are unwell, or if you have been in contact with somebody who is unwell.

This year we have a programme of volunteer opportunities to continue our archaeology project. In partnership with the Miner2major landscape project there will be a series of volunteer sessions (on 6th, 16th & 19th Aprils and 3rd, 21st & 31st May). Activities will include excavations and using core sampling to discover more about the palaeo-environmental evidence. We are trying to find out more about how the Robinsons’ water system actually worked. Training is available. To find out more information contact tori.bedingfield@nottscc,gov.uk.
