The Friends of Moor Pond Woods will be offering a guided walk through the nature reserve on 29th July 2026. We will meet at Papplewick and Linby Village Hall (where there is some parking) between 6:15 and 6:30 for a 6:30pm start. The meeting point is at 17 Linby Lane, Papplewick, NG15 8FB. There will be a maximum of 30 places, but if it is over-subscribed we will consider running a similar event on another night. Places need to be booked in advance, by contacting Stephen Walker and Maureen Barker by email to mpw@papplewick.org There is no charge for this event, but a donation towards to upkeep of the site would be appreciated.
This is an opportunity to join a guided walk through the Moor Pond Woods site to find out about its history and archaeological remains and its varied habitats. Members of the Friends of Moor Pond Woods will explain how the historic and natural environments are managed and conserved. There are surfaced paths throughout the site. There are possibilities for longer or shorted alternative routes to suit all abilities. The event is not suitable for dogs. If you have specific questions, contact mpw@papplewick.org
